Antoni Maiovvi - Ultrademonic
INFO :
Antoni Maiovvi is just as likely to be working on a soundtrack these days as turning out a club 12", but his instinct for what works on the floor hasn't been dulled by all those atmospheric scores. On this trip out for Cosmic Club, he throws down some masterful slammers leading in with the Italo-tinted 'TF Autobeat' with its gorgeous arpeggios and haunting synth string parts. 'Rushing Towards Oblivion' is tipped a little more towards synth-pop, capturing a little early Depeche Mode in the process. 'Beaches' is a softer vocal joint but there's still plenty of snarl in the bassline, while 'Driven Out By Snakes' holds the drums to let the thrumming synths do the talking. 'D'Amour' is a slow-burning, moody affair which again proves Maiovvi can bring fierce energy to a track even without resorting to beats.
