Joe Drive - Cosmogony EP
INFO :
Skylax offshoot Cosmic Club disregard any superstitious notions on this 13th release, welcoming rising Italian producer and DJ Joe Drive into the fold with the supreme four track Cosmogony EP. Drive has made an impression at Juno HQ with previous transmissions on Lux Rec, Hot Mix and Mathematics Drive, most notably for his approach to crafting house that's grounded in distinct atmospheric hues, and that much is very evident on the opening track "1997" and flipside accompaniment "Nut". Alongside this, "Black Shades" is a wondrous pitched down techno number whose melodic finesse will surely sound best on a big booming rig, while "Maat" goes deep on the cosmic Rhodes vibe and wouldn't sound out of place on Mahogani.
