SKYLAX RECORDS, THE company focused on realeasing original obscure dance classic and everything’s that sounds fine to their ears ! For our 33rd release , we decided to bring you guys one of the best deep house producer on earth : FABIO MONESI ! The Milanese house producer has been at the forefront this year with some storming releases on Albion, Blackrose, Aurour , Wilson records (its own label) & some ace remixes for Giovanni Damico & Kid Mark (that will feature both on A Fistful of Wax n°2 !).Fabio opens the EP with "Duke mama", a proper house anthem complete with a set of neat vocals, a shuffling workout of hi-hats, the inevitable snare and an old-school bass line which bounces from wall to wall. It made us think about a mix between Boo williams chicago house purity & the glorious times of the Underground music movement italian house anthems : TUNE. He closes the A side with “Millionhands” a similarly reflective house number for when things turn seriously deep Monesi's rugged low end bumper "No matter what (Hissmann dub)" opens the B side bristling with vintage house ideas and some rather excellent usage of detuned keys while on “Farmhouse 171 (Hissmann mix)” he drops a sample heavy bomb that sounds as an agitated Moodymann.
